Stories of strength take centre stage at Dubai’s Pinktober gathering
Lyda Beauty joins Address Beach Resort to empower and raise awareness
DUBAI – In a moving show of unity and strength, Address Beach Resort, part of Emaar Hospitality Group, hosted a heartfelt Pinktober event this month in collaboration with Lyda Beauty.
Set against the serene backdrop of the Arabian Gulf and Ain Dubai, the gathering at Farina Terrace brought together survivors, advocates, and supporters for an afternoon of reflection, storytelling, and empowerment.
The event served as a vibrant reminder of the importance of keeping conversations around breast cancer awareness alive, blending elegance with emotional depth. Among the attendees were inspiring women who continue to turn their journeys into messages of resilience and hope.
Stories of strength
Three-time stage 4 cancer survivor and women’s health advocate Yasmin Yousri opened her heart to the audience, speaking candidly about survival, healing, and rediscovering joy. “Surviving was my fight, but healing became my art,” she shared, describing how embracing life again takes courage as much as recovery itself.
Television personality Mais Mohammed joined Yasmin, along with other advocates and lifestyle figures who champion women’s health in their own ways. Together, their presence underscored the importance of empathy, awareness, and ongoing dialogue around breast cancer.
What inspired the collaboration?
The event was hosted in partnership with Lyda Beauty, whose founder Lyda Fischer shared how breast cancer awareness is a cause deeply personal to her. “Beauty also means empathy, understanding, and community,” she said, reflecting on the brand’s commitment to using its platform for meaningful change.

Supporting the event was The Giving Movement, whose Head Designer Khairunisa extended thoughtfully curated goodie bags to attendees, reinforcing the brand’s mission of social responsibility and compassion.
How did the evening conclude?
As conversations drew to a close, the atmosphere remained warm and reflective. Guests left carrying more than awareness – they took with them stories of courage and healing, and a renewed reminder that strength grows stronger when shared.
